Definitions for "Southpacific"
Southpacific was a post-rock unit that included Graeme Fleming, Joachim Toelke, and Phil Stewart-Bowes. The Ottawa-based trio formed in 1997, began playing shows in 1998, and managed to release two full-length recordings on the Turnbuckle imprint (the label was also home to noise rockers Bailter Space). They also performed at the 1999 Canadian Music Week Festival and embarked on a cross-country tour with indie rockers Tristan Psionic between April and May 2000.
