Subud (pronounced ) is an international spiritual association of people of all religions as well as people with no religious affiliation. Members report that through the practice of a spontaneous receiving – the latihan kejiwaan (Indonesian: "spiritual exercise") – they experience an awakening of their inner selves and a greater ability to find and fulfil their path in life. Many connect this experience directly with the divine (mostly described as God, with the most common variation being "the Great Life Force").
