Definitions for "Swordmaster"
Keywords:  ryuu, olcadan, nabarl, seisen, calibur
In the role-playing game series Fire Emblem, since Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu, a swordmaster is the promoted form of a myrmidon, a unit who traditionally has mediocre strength but makes up for it by having incredible speed, skill, and critical hit rates, causing lethal attacks. Recruitable units of the Myrmidon class are usually introduced as enemies who are difficult to recruit or are easily killed off in battle as enemies, often termed "Nabarl" after the character from Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi (the original Nabarl promotes to Hero, because the Swordmaster class had not yet been introduced). Examples of the Myrmidon class include Guy from Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken and Joshua and Marisa from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.
Within the story of the fighting game Soul Calibur there exist two recognized Sword Masters: the elderly master Edge Master, whose name is apparently an upgrade of his Sword Master title, and the owl fighter Olcadan. Both characters are recognized for having the ability to draw at random from every style presented in the game, thus showing their ability to use any weapon at will. Characters from the game Charade and Inferno are made with the same ability, thought they don't have the title of Sword Master.
