A division of morphology created by Haeckel; the science of organic individuality constituting the purely structural portion of morphology, in which the organism is regarded as composed of organic individuals of different orders, each organ being considered an individual. Tectology is a term coined by Alexander Bogdanov scientist, philosopher, economist, physician, novelist, poet, and Marxist revolutionary, for a discipline that consisted of unifying all social, biological and physical sciences, by considering them as systems of relationships, and by seeking the organizational principles that underly all systems.
