Definitions for "Theonomy"
Theonomy is from the Greek [ theos] meaning God, and [ nomos] meaning law. It simply means, God's law. The term is often thought of as difficult to define because it means so many different things to so many people. However, in general, it is understood as taking on a narrower connotation. It is basically understood today as holding that God's moral Laws of the Old Testament have a continuity, and are thus still binding today.
