Tirschenreuth is a Kreis (district) in the northeastern part of Bavaria, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from the south, clockwise) Neustadt (Waldnaab), Bayreuth and Wunsiedel. To the east are the Czech districts of Plzen and Karlovy Vary.

Tirschenreuth is the capital city of the district of Tirschenreuth. It is located in the northeast of Bavaria, very close to the Czech-Bavarian border.
