Ring workers who install and replace the circus props, prepare circus apparatuses and ring for circus acts. Uniformists are usually in two rows along the sides of vorgang during the performance. Uniformists are directed by stallmeister. In former times, all circus performers were obliged to work as uniformists, and this condition was made a legal provision in contracts of employment. The term 'uniformist' comes from uniform (livery suit) worn by all such workers.
