Canadian Controlled Private Corporation. A corporation which receives preferential tax treatment under the Income Tax Act. CCPC's generally qualify for the small business deduction which results in a lower tax rate on the first $200,000 of active business income. Capital Gains Exemption Profits made on the sale of a fixed asset or business that are exempt from taxes up to a specified amount.
Canadian Controlled Private Corporation. A term defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada) to mean a privately held corporation that is not majority-owned by non-residents of Canada.
Canadian Clean Power Coalition. The Canadian Clean Power Coalition (CCPC) project was initiated in 2001 to accelerate the development and demonstration of clean coal technology in Canada. The multistage objectives are to demonstrate all future environmental issues, including carbon dioxide, for a retrofit technology by 2008 and a Greenfield plant by the 2010-2012 timeframe.
