Commencement is the 2002 debut of the rock band, Deadsy. This is the official release of the album, distributed through Dreamworks Records under the Elementree sub-label. The album contains two cover songs: "Brand New Love" written by Lou Barlow of the band Sebadoh and "Tom Sawyer" written by Rush.
Commencement was Deadsy's second album never to be commercially released. It came very close but was dropped due to the number tracks having been re-used from the past and also for label issues with there own holders. Most of the tracks have been released on the official Commencement release.
