Definitions for "Dense wavelength division multiplexing"
A high-speed version of wavelength division multiplexing. (See WDM)
A technology that uses multiple lasers and transmits several wavelengths of light simultaneously over a single optical fibre. Such systems can provide more than a terabit per second of data transmission on one optical fibre.
Multiplexing of signals by transmitting them at different wavelengths through the same fiber.
