Eight kinds of gods
Devas are energies, or spirit forms, that create patterns of reality on higher levels of existence. Anything created naturally or by humans has a deva.
The demigods who reside in Svarga, led by Indra. They rule the universe and administer the necessities of life for its inhabitants.
Beings involved in the energetic creation and upkeep of nature, earth and natural processes like weather, growing plants, the seasons, water tables, fields and garden and animal communication. Some higher echelons of devas are acting like oversouls for animals.
