Definitions for "Fuel Economy"
The distance that can be traveled on a single gallon of fuel.
Usually expressed as the amount of fuel used per unit distance; for example, litres per 100 kilometres (L/100 km). In this case, the lower the value, the more efficient a vehicle is.
The average mileage traveled by an automobile per gallon of gasoline (or equivalent amount of other fuel) consumed as measured in accordance with the testing and evaluation protocol set forth by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). For more information see: http://www.fueleconomy.gov

We report our actual day-to-day use during the time a test car is in our possession, typically a week to 10 days. Because of its atypical nature, we factor out the car's day at the test track. Last, Cruise range assumes our mpg and 1 gal. left in the tank.
