Ancient Persian art which dates back to before the Mughal Empire. Patterns traced out on silver or gold strips are cut out and sown on to fabric (like patch-work) with a needle that is used to run up and down through the cloth, while the cloth is pulled tightly over a large wooden frame. A perfect complement to Zardozi work.
