A term which refers to the normal electric supply voltage. Line voltage can be used directly in some control circuits or can be connected to the primary side of a step down transformer to provide power for a low-voltage control circuit. Most line-voltage devices function at their rated voltage +10%/-15%. Line-voltage devices should be tested and listed by an appropriate approval agency.
The 110-120-volt household current, generally standard in North America.
Voltage existing between the two lines of an electric company.
Generally means 120 volts.
In the U.S.A, this should be 120 volts. (See Volts).
The normal in-plant power line supply voltage which is usually 120 or 220/240 or 440 V ac.
