Definitions for "Normal Mode Voltage"
Voltage on the Line or Hot wire of the power wiring, compared to the neutral wire.
Any voltage (other than fundamental 50 Hz or 60 Hz) that is measured between the phase conductor and the neutral conductor in a single phase system or between any two phase conductors of a three phase system. Normal mode voltage can be any amplitude or frequency. Normal mode noise voltages can interfere with the reliable operation of a computer system or degrade and destroy components. Normal mode power disturbances should be limited to 10 volts or less.
Voltage appearing between the phase wires and neutral of the power system wiring.
