A darkroom technique wherein a partially developed print is briefly exposed to light before continuing development. This reverses the polarity of the silver bromide crystals in the paper emulsion, giving the resulting print some of the characteristics of a negative print and some of the characteristics of a positive print.
The name (or brand) Sabatier is famous in the cooking knife industry. This name originated in Thiers, France at the beginning of the 1800s. There are many knife manufacturers using Sabatier as their brand as a result of the often confusing history of the Sabatier name in France.
