Definitions for "Spectral Width"
Keywords:  diode, wavelength, width, led, spectrum
A measure of the dispersion of velocities within the pulse volume. Standard deviation of the velocity spectrum. Spectral width depends among others from the turbulence within the pulse volume.
For a light source, the width of wavelengths contained in the output at one half of the wavelength of peak power. Typical spectral widths are 20 to 60 nm for an LED and 2 to 5 nm for a laser diode.
The range of wavelengths emitted by a source.
