Historically speaking, Mobile (city) is divided into three sections: Lower Dauphin (Downtown), Midtown (which includes West End--West End is the name for the westen side of Midtown), and West Mobile. Geographically speaking, the parts of the city west of I-65 until the end of the city limits is West Mobile. What is currently considered "West Mobile" is not part of the city and is mislabeled.
