Patient is unaware that anything is wrong with them. Often accompanies unilateral neglect following a right parietal lobe lesion.
when the patient denies anything being wrong with the stroke side. The lack of awareness or denial of disease. May occur with damage to the parietal lobe in the region of the supramarginal gyrus.
The apparent unawareness of or failure to recognize one's own functional defect (e.g., hemiplegia, hemianopsia).
