Chimaira is a metalcore band from Cleveland, Ohio. The name is derived from the word "chimera", which refers to a lion-headed monster in Greek mythology. Their 2005 self-titled album had a more groove metal influenced sound.

Chimaira is the third, self-titled album by metal band Chimaira. All lyrics were written by Mark Hunter. The opening track "Nothing Remains" was written on the day that Dimebag Darrell was shot, but was not written specifically about his death.
