State of Maryland Department of Juvenile Justice - A department of the State government charged with providing juvenile justice services to children with suspected involvement in delinquent and/or status offenses.
Department of Juvenile Justice. The DJJ is an executive branch agency, divided into multiple regions according to program area, with more than 5,000 employees and a FY 2000-2001 budget of $720 million. The agency was established in 1994 to provide/oversee the state's juvenile justice system.
