Definitions for "HSLA"
High Strength Low Alloy steel. Generic designation indicating steel grades with high strength and toughness due to grain refinement and precipitation hardening. HSLA grades are obtained by microalloying and controlled rolling.
High Strength Low Alloy. A specific group of steels in which the strength levels are achieved by the addition of moderate amounts of alloying elements. The most common are columbium, vanadium or titanium.
