James "Jim" Turner (born February 6, 1946), American politician, was the Democratic representative for the Texas 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1997 until 2005.
James Bayard "Jim" Turner (born March 28, 1941 in Martinez, California) is a former college and professional American football player. He played quarterback and kicker for Utah State and was signed as a free-agent in 1964 by Jets head coach Weeb Ewbank. As placekicker for the American Football League's New York Jets, "Tank" kicked a then record 145 points in the 1968 regular season, with a professional football record 34 field goals.
