John Palmer (January 29, 1785 - December 8, 1840) was a member of the United States House of Representatives from New York. He was born in Hoosick, Rensselaer County, New York. After completing preparatory studies, he graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, studied law, and was admitted to the bar.
