Meenakshi is a popular South Indian actress. She made her debut in Kollywood but she became popular through Malayalam films.
Meenakshi, according to Hindu mythology, is a deity; a Goddess who is related to two of the three Godheads - Vishnu and Shiva. She is the sister of Lord Vishnu, and wife of Lord Shiva. She is also one of the few goddesses who has a temple devoted to her- the famed Meenakshi temple in Madurai.
