Unaggregated, or unsummarized, data. See also DATA, MACRODATA.
Nonaggregated data about the units sampled. For surveys of individuals, microdata contain records for each individual interviewed; for surveys of organizations, the microdata contain records for each organization.
Data reported from an individual establishment or household. Data on a single BLS790 form or a single Ul contribution report are microdata. Compare to macrodata.
Microdata Corporation was an Irvine, California based computer company, developing hardware and operating systems to run its REALITY environment. It later was taken over by its International distributor CMC Leasings, which in turn was taken over in 1983 by Mc Donnell Douglas Corporation.
