Single-base variations in the genetic code that occur about every 1000 bases along the three billion bases of the human genome.
Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms. A DNA sequence that is one nucleotide (A, T, C or G) different than another sequence. SNPs can be used to detect differences in individuals.
