Sodo is one of the 77 woredas in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Gurage Zone, Sodo is bordered on the south by Meskanena Mareko, and on the west, north and east by the Oromia Region. Towns in Sodo include Bue and Kela.

A formal hall for meditation, meals, and sleeping. The altar is in the center of a sodo.

A formal Zen training monastery, at which a monk can gain qualification for priesthood. Roughly synonymous with senmon dojo.
