The Syrian Horse originated from Syria, and is closely related to the Arabian. The breed is technically a pony, as most never reach higher than 14.2 hh (though they may reach 15.1 hh), but it is horse in build and conformation. The breed is thought to be purely of Arabian blood, that was simply isolated and developed by its region.
