A work team which is responsible for carrying out all the phases of a work process from start to finish. Team members may specialize in the separate functions of the process, and "hand off" the assignment to another team member when their portion is complete. Or, team members may have multi-disciplinary skills and work on all phases of the assignment.
Consists of representatives from business functions and system end-users. These functions may include: information systems, manufacturing, operations, marketing, research and development, finance, purchasing, public affairs, investor relations, legal and, of course, health, safety and environmental.
