Grady was a spin-off from the highly successful sitcom, Sanford and Son. In this series, Fred Sanford's friend Grady moves out of Watts and moves in with his daughter and her family in Westwood. Executive producer Norman Lear served as a consultant to the show.

Grady is an American & Canadian band based out of Austin, Texas.To call Grady an "American" band is bending the truth, as two-thirds of the members are Canadian nationals.
