The overedging of fabric to prevent raveling.
Refers to the overedging of a single ply of fabric to prevent the fabric from unraveling. The most common serging stitch types include the 503, 504 and 505 stitches. Many manufacturers are serging with Perma Spun® or Wildcat Plus®.
An overcastting technique done on the cut edge of a fabric to prevent raveling.
