TIME RESOLVED FLUORESCENCE. A sensitive detection system patented by PerkinElmer Wallac. It uses lanthanide chelates that give an intense and long-lived fluorescence emission (1000 microseconds), making it possible to measure fluorescence emission significantly later than excitation. This eliminates the background counts from short-lived fluorescence emitting from organic fluorophores that accompany the sample since they will have decayed prior to detection. This time delayed fluorescence in combination with a large stokes shift (340-615 nm) effectively reduces background emissions to a level that allows measurement sensitivity to rival and possibly exceed sensitivities achieved using expensive and dangerous radioactive tags.
Time Resolved Fluorescence. Measurement of a fluorescent emission at a predetermined time after excitation, eliminating interference from short lived emissions from organic fluorophores that accompany the sample as they have decayed prior to detection. A sensitive and reliable labeling and detection system has been designed and patented by EG&G Wallac (Turku, Finland). It uses lanthanide chelates that give an intense and long-lived fluorescence emission ( 1000 microseconds), making it possible to measure fluorescence emission significantly later than excitation. This time delayed fluorescence in combination with a large stokes shift (340 - 615 nm) effectively reduces background emissions to a level that allows measurement sensitivity to rival and possibly exceed sensitivities achieved using expensive and dangerous radioactive tags.
hormone released by the hypothalamus that controls the release of thyroid-stimulating hormone from the anterior pituitary
Thyrotropin Releasing Factor. Thyrotropin Releasing Factor (also known as TRH or Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone) is a hormone secreted by nerve endings in the hypothalamus and then transported to the anterior pituitary. TRH directly affects the anterior pituitary gland cells by increasing their output of thyroid-stimulating hormone, TSH, which has many important affects throughout the body -- one of which is control of metabolism.

TRF (Tetsuya Komuro Rave Factory) is a Japanese popular music group. Its members are rapper DJ KOO, lead vocalist YU-KI, and dancers CHIHARU, ETSU, and SAM.
Skin care complex. Composed of amino acids, mono- and disaccharides, vitamins, phosphorus containing compounds, nucleosides and nucleotides. TRF substances are produced by living cells (like yeast) upon injury. They may serve as healing agents, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and regenerate cells on the lower levels of the skin.
trf is an extension library to the script language tcl, as created by John Ousterhout. It extends the language at the C-level with so-called "transformer"-procedures. With the help of some patches to the core the package is able to intercept all read/write operations on designated channels, thus giving it the ability to transform the buffer contents as desired.
