The wonderful, dedicated people who assist the Pastor in preparations for the liturgies and clean up afterward. Members of the Altar Guild are specifically responsible for preparing the communion.
A group of laypersons who are charged with the care and cleaning of all that goes on the altar (bread, wine, cloths, chalices, etc.) and with the decoration of the church (flowers, candles, vestments, etc.).
Members of the Altar guild are volunteer members who serve for 3 years. They are responsible for coordinating the decoration and preparation of the worship space, preparation of communion for monthly communion services, and weekly donations and dedications of flower arrangements.
