Definitions for "Biasing"
applying a voltage, often done to alter the electrical and optical output of a device such as a light emitting diode (LED).
Biasing in electronics is the method of establishing predetermined voltages and/or currents at various points of a circuit to set the appropriate quiescent point. Linear circuits involving transistors typically require a specific junction voltage to operate correctly, this is done with biasing. The method of keeping a device to operate in the active region is also called as Biasing.
