"Creatures" is a 3D game where you are an alien entrapenuer who captures a type of furry woodland creature to sell at his exclusive fashion pet store. The game is being constructed with Ogre3D, an open source game engine.
Creatures is an artificial life (alife) computer program series, created in the mid-1990s by English computer scientist Steve Grand whilst working for the Cambridge computer games developer Millennium Interactive. The program is regarded as an important breakthrough in the advancement of alife research.
Creatures is a platform game for the Commodore 64 computer, released in 1990. It was developed by Apex Computer Productions, the company started by two brothers, John Rowlands (who wrote the code) and Steve Rowlands (who created the graphics and music). It was followed by Creatures II: Torture Trouble in 1992.
