Definitions for "ISAT"
Idaho Standards Achievement Test. This is the test designed specifically for Idaho to determine if students are meeting the proficiency standards set by the state Board of Education.. This test is given twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. The results from the spring assessment are used to determine if states, districts, and schools meet the AYP goals set by the state. Idaho uses four categories to describe how students perform on tests: Advanced; Proficient (meeting the standard, the minimum expectation for all students to achieve); Basic (below the standard); and Below Basic (far below the standard).
