Kom stands for "Keep old mails". It imports email messages into a MySQL database, and provides a frontend in GTK 2 to search and browse the archived messages. Some options can be used to incrementally import email . It can also export messages stored in the database, in mbox format or one-message-per-file format, and generate some statistics.
The Kom are one of the principal ethnic groups of the North-West province of Cameroon, where traditional government institutions are very important. The capital, Laikom, is the seat of the ruler, the Fon, and his advisors, the Quifon, who continue to be the most respected leaders despite the imposition of a central Cameroonian government. Vincent Yuh II is the current Fon of Kom.
