Occurs on neck flexion and implies spinal cord compression or other abnormality. Patient experiences a sensation like an electric shock in the limbs. Most common in cervical myelopathy due to stenosis resulting from degenerative change and demyelination (multiple sclerosis).
Some people with MS experience this electrical sensation running down the spine and into their limbs when flexing head forward.
