Definitions for "CMF"
A common combination of three drugs used in the treatment of breast cancer. Cyclophosphamide, Methotrexate and 5-fluoro-uracil.

Cutting Master Format, which is a protocol, similar to DDP, that describes data that will be recorded onto an optical disc and allows the use of DVD-R for Authoring media instead of the more usual DLT. A single DVD-R disc can therefore serve as both a check disc for testing and for input to glass mastering. The CMF is written to the lead-in area. Titles that require CSS encryption, CGMS or region coding cannot currently be used with CMF.
Cutting Master Format. Specification for storing copyright protection and other information, such as Disc Description Protocol (DDP), that is required for full DVD mastering.

Chaikin Money Flow. An oscillator that helps signal if a stock is undergoing accumulation or distribution. It is calculated from the daily readings of the Accumulation/Distribution line (A/D line). CMF is not influenced by the daily price change, but focuses on the location of the close relative to the range for the period (daily or weekly).

Capital Modernisation Fund. a challenge fund administered by the Treasury from which departments can bid for provision to support capital projects aimed at improving the quality of public service delivery. The CMF is not allocated to any specific department when public expenditure is planned; it is allocated to departments that propose innovative capital projects. Once allocation is made, provision is switched from the CMF DEL to the relevant departmental DEL.
Comparative Mortality Figure. A ratio of the age-standardized mortality rate for a disease in a specific area compared with the mortality rate for all of Canada. Those areas with a CMF less than one have a mortality rate that is less than the Canadian average. If the CMF is above one, then the area has a higher rate of disease than the rest of Canada.
