Definitions for "Overwood"
Overwood refers to a condition where an installed piece of flooring is higher or lower than the adjacent piece.
The uppermost storey of a storeyed high forest or of any crop in which two or more distinct crown layers occur, either temporarily or permanently; e.g. seed bearers over regeneration, standards over coppice or a crop of trees over bamboos. Cf. Underwood.
A term used to describe a condition when adjoining edges of the flooring pieces are not the same height after installation is complete. Tolerances for each product and grade vary. May be called underwood.
