Definitions for "Aaronic Priesthood"
The lesser of the two divisions of the priesthood in the Church. It includes the offices of deacon, teacher, priest, and bishop.
One of two types of priesthood within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a preparatory stage of priesthood. Boys of twelve, or new converts of any age, are ordained into the priesthood as deacons if they are considered worthy.
This is called the lesser priesthood, and is usually held by young men starting at the age of 12 to the age of about 18. It is also held for a short time by men who have just become members.
