Definitions for "Albuminuria"
A morbid condition in which albumin is present in the urine.
Sometimes called proteinuria, albuminuria is is defined as abnormally large quantities of protein in the urine. While it can be the sign of renal disease, it is often a sign of other problems such as hypertension or heart failure and a warning sign of pre-eclampsia. It can also be the result of heavy exercise or heart failure.
A condition where the presence of easily detectable amounts of serum protein, serum globulin and others. It can be one of the symptoms of pre-eclampsia. Its presence is not always a sign of a problem since it can be found in normal people after vigorous exercise.
