Definitions for "Backslope"
The hillslope profile position that forms the steepest and generally linear, middle portion of the slope.
The broad, even portion of a slope between its lower foot- and toe-slope portions, and upper shoulder, ridge or terrace portion.
The component of the hill slope that forms the steepest inclined surface and is frequently the principal element. The surface is dominantly steep and linear in profile and erosional in origin.
