"Denis" is track 2 from the 1978 album Plastic Letters by Blondie, and was the second U.K. single release from the band. A cover of the 1963 hit "Denise" by Randy & The Rainbows, this song first broke Blondie into the international market. The song contains a French verse, which was going to be cut, but thanks to Debbie Harry standing her ground, the verse stayed and made it a worldwide hit.
