Hertford (standard pronunciations /'hÉ‘tÖ½fÉ™d/ and /'hÉ‘Ö½fÉ™d/; local pronunciation /'[h]É‘ËʔֽfÉ™d/) is the county town of Hertfordshire, England, and is in the East Hertfordshire district of that county. It has a population today of about 24,000.
Until 1868 Hertford returned two members to parliament. Both members are listed here; their terms are not necessarily consecutive.
