Definitions for "Hysterotomy"
The act of cutting into the uterus, as in Cæsarean section. See under Cæsarean.
A method of inducing an abortion in late pregnancy. It is similar to performing a Caesarian Section. An incision is made into the woman's uterus and the fetus is removed. Implantation: The embedding of the zygote in the inside wall of the uterus. Medical specialists define this act as the start of pregnancy. Religious conservatives generally define fertilization as the start of pregnancy.
