Definitions for "Instillation"
A medical outpatient procedure where a fluid based drug is introduced into the bladder by catheter; the patient may be asked to hold the fluid for up to 20 minutes before voiding. Depending on the drug and patient sensitivity some may find this rather uncomfortable. (See DMSO, Heparin and Cystistat).
