Definitions for "sheltered"
Families and persons whose primary nighttime residence is a supervised publicly or private operated shelter (e.g., emergency, transitional, battered women, and homeless youth shelters; and commercial hotels or motels used to house the homeless). Sheltered homeless does not include any individual imprisoned or otherwise detained pursuant to an Act of Congress or State law.
