Top Gun is a 1986 American film directed by Tony Scott and produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer in association with Paramount Pictures. The screenplay was written by Jim Cash and Jack Epps Jr., and was inspired by an article written by Ehud Yonay for California Magazine entitled "Top Guns." The film stars Tom Cruise, Kelly Mc Gillis, Anthony Edwards, Val Kilmer, Tom Skerritt, Michael Ironside, Tim Robbins, and Meg Ryan.
Top Gun is the soundtrack from the movie of the same name starring Tom Cruise, released in 1986 by Sony Music. In 1999, it was reissued in a Special Expanded Edition with extra tracks added.
